Privacy & Security

How we handle your photos, data, and account security.

  • What happens to the photos I upload?

When you upload a photo to TryItOn, it is stored securely and used only to power your virtual try-on experience. Our AI analyzes your image so it can generate a realistic preview of how clothing, hairstyles, shoes, accessories, eyewear, or tattoos look on you. Your photos are private to your account by default and are not shared with other users unless you choose to share a look.

    How your photos are used

    • Generating try-ons: Your photo is processed to create AI try-on results you can view, save, or animate.
    • Your wardrobe and history: Results sync across the web app, mobile apps, and browser extension so you can revisit them anytime.
    • Nothing more: We never sell your images, and they aren't used for advertising.

Because every photo travels over an encrypted connection and lives in protected storage, you stay in control. You can delete individual photos or your entire account whenever you like. If you have questions about how your data is handled, you can always contact our support team for help.

  • Are my photos kept private?

Yes, your photos are kept private. Every image you upload to TryItOn is private to your account by default, meaning no other user can see your uploads or your virtual try-on results unless you deliberately choose to share them. Privacy is built into the core of our AI try-on platform.

Your photos are stored in secure, access-controlled storage and transmitted over encrypted connections, so your images stay protected from upload to result. We do not make your wardrobe, history, or try-ons public, and we never sell your photos or personal data.

    You stay in control

    • Sharing is optional: Looks are only shared when you send them to friends or post them yourself.
    • Delete anytime: Remove individual photos or your whole account on your terms.
    • Cross-platform privacy: The same protections apply on the web, mobile apps, and browser extension.

If you ever want clarification on your privacy settings or how a specific feature works, reach out and contact our support team. Keeping your try-on experience private and secure is something we take seriously.

  • Does TryItOn sell my data?

No, TryItOn does not sell your data. Your photos, virtual try-on results, wardrobe, and personal information are never sold to advertisers, data brokers, or any third party. We built our AI try-on platform around the idea that your images belong to you, and monetizing your private data has no place in that.

The information you provide is used solely to deliver and improve your try-on experience, such as generating realistic previews of how clothes, hairstyles, or accessories look on you, syncing your wardrobe across devices, and keeping your account secure. Photos remain private to your account by default.

    What this means for you

    • No selling: Your data is not a product we trade.
    • No surprise sharing: Looks are shared only when you choose to send them to friends.
    • Full control: You can delete your photos or your entire account at any time.

Payments are processed by trusted PCI-compliant providers, so sensitive billing details are handled securely too. If you'd like more detail about our data practices, feel free to contact our support team.

  • How do I delete my photos?

You can delete your photos directly inside TryItOn at any time. Each photo in your account can be removed individually, and if you'd rather start fresh, you can delete your entire account, which clears your uploads, try-on history, and saved looks. You're always in control of the images you've shared with our AI try-on platform.

    How to remove a photo

    1. Open your photo gallery or wardrobe in the web app, mobile app, or browser extension.
    2. Select the photo or try-on result you want to remove.
    3. Choose the delete option to permanently remove it from your account.

Because your account, wardrobe, and history sync across platforms, a deletion is reflected everywhere you sign in. If you want to remove everything at once, head to your account settings and choose to delete your account, which also removes your associated photos.

If you run into any trouble deleting an image or want to request removal of specific data, just contact our support team and we'll make sure it's handled promptly.

  • Does TryItOn use my photos to train AI?

TryItOn uses your photos to generate your virtual try-on results, not to sell or exploit your likeness. Your images are processed to create realistic previews of how clothing, hairstyles, shoes, accessories, eyewear, or tattoos look on you, and they remain private to your account by default. We never sell your photos or personal data to third parties.

    Your images stay yours

The purpose of uploading a photo is simple: to power the AI try-on experience you came for. Your pictures are stored securely, transmitted over encrypted connections, and are not shared publicly unless you choose to share a look with friends. You can delete any photo, or your whole account, whenever you want.

    • Private by default: Other users can't see your uploads.
    • Not sold: Your data is never sold or used for advertising.
    • Under your control: Delete photos or your account at any time.

If you have specific questions about how your photos are handled or want details about our data practices, please contact our support team. We're happy to walk you through exactly how your images are used to deliver your try-ons.

  • How is my account kept secure?

Your TryItOn account is protected by multiple layers of security designed to keep your photos, wardrobe, and personal information safe. You can sign in with email and password or use Google Sign-In, and all of your data travels over encrypted connections so it stays protected in transit.

    Built-in protections

    • Secure sign-in: Choose email/password or Google Sign-In for convenient, protected access.
    • No risky auto-linking: For security, signing in never automatically links accounts by email. Connecting a Google account only happens from inside your account settings while you're already signed in, which helps prevent account takeover.
    • Disposable email blocking: Throwaway email addresses are blocked to reduce fraud and abuse.
    • Encrypted everywhere: The same safeguards apply across the web app, mobile apps, and browser extension.

Payments are handled by PCI-compliant processors, so your billing details aren't stored insecurely. To keep your own account safe, use a strong, unique password and keep your sign-in method secure. If you ever notice suspicious activity, contact our support team right away and we'll help you lock things down.

  • Who can see my try-ons?

Only you can see your try-ons by default. Every virtual try-on you create on TryItOn is private to your account, so your results, wardrobe, and history are visible to you alone unless you specifically choose to share a look. Other users cannot browse or access your try-ons.

    When sharing happens

Sharing is always your decision. If you use the friends feature to send a look for feedback, or post a result yourself, then the people you share with can see that specific try-on. Outside of those intentional actions, your images stay private.

    • Private by default: Your try-ons aren't public or searchable.
    • Optional sharing: Send looks to friends only when you want a second opinion.
    • Synced and secure: Your private results sync across the web app, mobile apps, and extension, protected by encrypted connections.

You can delete any try-on result at any time, and removing it takes it out of your synced history everywhere you sign in. If you want to double-check your sharing settings or have questions, feel free to contact our support team.

  • Is my data encrypted?

Yes, your data is encrypted. TryItOn sends your photos, try-on results, and account information over encrypted connections, so your data is protected while it travels between your device and our servers. This applies whether you're using the web app, the iOS or Android mobile apps, or the browser extension.

    Layers of protection

    • In transit: Encrypted connections safeguard your uploads and results from interception.
    • At rest: Your photos are kept in secure, access-controlled storage and stay private to your account by default.
    • Payments: Billing is handled by PCI-compliant payment providers, so sensitive card details are processed securely and not stored insecurely by us.

Encryption is just one part of how we keep your virtual try-on experience safe. We also block disposable email addresses, avoid risky account auto-linking, and never sell your data. You remain in control and can delete your photos or your entire account whenever you choose. If you'd like more technical detail about how your information is protected, you're welcome to contact our support team.

  • Can I use TryItOn without sharing anything publicly?

Absolutely. You can use TryItOn entirely privately, without sharing anything publicly. Every photo you upload and every virtual try-on you generate is private to your account by default, so you can experiment with outfits, hairstyles, shoes, accessories, and more without anyone else seeing your results.

    Private by design

Nothing you create is posted or made public automatically. Features like sharing looks with friends are completely optional and only happen when you choose to send something. If you never share, your try-ons simply stay in your private wardrobe and history, synced securely across your devices.

    • No public profile required: Try on clothes online just for yourself.
    • Optional social features: Friends, feedback, and sharing are there if you want them, ignored if you don't.
    • Delete anytime: Remove individual photos or your whole account whenever you like.

This makes TryItOn a great way to see how items look on you in total privacy before you buy. If you'd like reassurance about your settings or how a feature works, just contact our support team.

  • What information do you collect about me?

TryItOn collects only the information needed to deliver and improve your virtual try-on experience. This generally includes the account details you provide, the photos and items you upload, and the try-on results and preferences that make up your wardrobe and history.

    The main categories

    • Account information: Such as the email address or Google Sign-In you use to create and secure your account.

    • Usage and billing basics: Information that helps run the service, like your credit balance and activity, with payments handled securely by PCI-compliant providers.

We use this information to generate your AI try-ons, sync your wardrobe across the web, mobile apps, and extension, keep your account secure, and provide support. We do not sell your data, and your photos aren't shared publicly unless you choose to share a look.

    Deletion

You can delete individual photos and try-on results from your gallery or wardrobe at any time. To remove everything, head to your account settings and delete your account, which clears your associated photos and history across the web app, mobile apps, and browser extension.

    • Request access: If you'd like a copy of your information or have a specific privacy request, get in touch.
